The Social Chix All-Star Line-up

Well, All-Star Weekend in Houston seems to be jam-packed with lots of fun and excitement.  The city is bustling with folks gearing up for parties, giveaways, promotions and friends coming in from out of town for all of the festivities.  That being said, you know things are no different for The Social Chix Collective--we are busy as H-E-double hockey stix!  So, we thought we'd keep you up-to-date with our All-Star Weekend Line-up.  We hope to see you out-and-about, looking fab and having FUN!

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2012

 Sunday, we're starting the day off with a private cocktail event with the NBA Wives of Houston benefiting My I.N.C., a charity run by Candice Ford (wife of NBA player TJ Ford) and Kesha Beard (fiancee of the NFL's Shaun Rogers).  It's another red-carpet day and we'll share all the photos and fun with you!

After our cocktail fun with the ladies, we're going to end our All-Star Weekend with a finale starring the NBA Dallas Mavericks' Mike James and the beautiful La La! The event will be held at the luxuriously opulent Marque in City Centre (the official and private club of the Houston Motor Club) and we are excited to host a special media lounge so we can celebrate with all of our press and media buddies.  Come out, have a blast with us and finish All-Star Weekend like a BALLER!

Our girl Kerry Washington is stunningly gorgeous on the new cover of EBONY Magazine! EBONY's March 2013 issue is labeled the "Scandal Issue" and we couldn't be more thrilled about it.  If you are as big of a Scandal fan as The Social Chix are, then this is an issue you've got check out!

"Game Day Girls' Way" benefits My I.N.C. to make brighter futures for Houston's young girls

We're so happy to be partnering with the My I.N.C. (My Innocence Never Compromised) Foundation through our Game Day Girls' Way All-Star Weekend Activities. It's a great organization with a mission that's right up The Social Chix's alley.  So when we heard about the work that My I.N.C. was doing, we just couldn't resist making it a part of our exiting Game Day Girls' Way All-Star Weekend Line-up.

My I.N.C. is a Houston-based organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of at-risk inner city young girls, by providing programs that stimulate their social, physical, intellectual, and moral development.  Led by Candace Ford (wife of the NBA's Terrance "TJ" Ford) and Kisha Beard (fiancee of Cleveland Browns Pro-Bowler Shaun Rogers), My I.N.C. focuses on helping girls redirect the challenges they are faced with towards a activities and behaviors that promote a greater quality of life, positive futures and academic achievement.

By coming together with My I.N.C. What is Game Day Girls' Way?

Every year thousands of NBA fans, social party-goers, celebrities, business executives and their families pour into one select U.S. city for the NBA All-Star games.  February 15 -17, 2013, Houston, Texas will welcome the games, the excitement and the tourism...and we're SUUUUUPER excited!

We're taking this buzz-worthy opportunity to showcase and celebrate the strong influence we as women have in the sports and entertainment market...and the general market PERIOD. We're doing this through a fun little BIG concept we call Game Day Girls’ Way.

 Game Day Girls’ Way is a women’s initiative developed by The Social Chix Collective designed to raise awareness of the influential female presence in what is known as the male dominated sports world.  Our concept uses high-profile sporting events as a platform to reach women through business networking and social events, charitable campaigns and inspirational engagements.

When most people think of sports, they think of athletes (male or female), sweat, contact competitions and male sports fans--but that's not all that's there.  Look beyond the court or the field and you'll see us. Look a little closer and you'll see us making all the decisions that really count--WOMEN!
